The hardboiled cowboy of the crew, Nat’s background is as a hired gun working for various gangs and corporations during the war. Doc, having worked some jobs with him in the past, held Nat’s toughness and skill with a sidearm in the highest regard – tracking him down after the war and offering him permanent employment as a runner at the Pie Hole. Nat is a man of simple pleasures, enjoying cheap beer and cheaper cigars. He is as tough as they come but not without a biting sense of humor – even in the face of heinous danger and impending doom.
